We’re pleased to congratulate Phoebe Lam on completing her ARE exams and earning her California Architecture License. Phoebe is excited to reach this milestone, and has a few suggestions for designers studying for ARE exams:

“Complete your exams within a timeframe of 16 months – just power through. Do it within the first few years out of school. As time passes, more things in life get in the way of studying and taking the exam,” Lam says. “Don’t worry about not being prepared enough. Study as much as possible and then just do it!”

“We are so proud of Phoebe for getting her license. I know how hard it can be to complete the ARE exams, especially when juggling a full workload,” said WDA Residential Practice Manager Jim Westover. “It’s been great mentoring and watching Phoebe grow, and I look forward to helping her achieve all of her future goals.”

When asked about her next challenge, Phoebe is happy to focus all of her energy on her dual role at WDA as Project Manager and Director of Operations. She is also looking forward to having a little more fun in 2018, including a trip to Iceland and hikes around the Bay with her dog Noe – and no more studying!
