Bay Club Gateway

To add a building and pool for a local fitness and social club’s downtown San Francisco location, we designed with an eye towards the architectural character of the neighborhood. Our palette draws from the materials of historic piers along the adjacent Embarcadero, while a green roof greets neighboring Nob Hill dwellers. The light-filled interior houses workout and social spaces within a tidy, comfortable floorplan. A matching roofline added to an existing tennis pavilion and redesigned permanent walls unify the site and improve its look and cohesion with the bustling contemporary uses of this historic port neighborhood.
