Located in SFO’s new Harvey Milk Terminal, Goldilocks, a quick serve bakery, proudly claims to be the first Filipino restaurant to open in a U.S. airport. The necessary smooth flow of passengers in terminal buildings requires a simplicity to these restaurants. The design opportunity then is to create moments of visual interest through texture and elegance. We worked with the client on a natural, warm, and inviting palette which would balance that simplicity through a craft and refinement that connects to their roots in Filipino culture.
