Old Coach Road

Perched on an idyllic 5-acre Napa County hillside, our design for this single-family residence takes advantage of topography to capture sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. The clients – art patrons, avid entertainers, and Burning Man enthusiasts – desired a home that was a work of art all its own. The design thus features an expansive view terrace, conceived of as a display for the client’s art collection as well as a ‘bridge’ that joins the main house to the guest quarters and the outdoors. In addition to the use of natural materials, a pool terrace, sleeping porch and separate outdoor kitchen further connects the home to its lush site.
