Split Bread – Metreon

WDA’s design for Split Bread - Metreon differentiates it from the typical sandwich shop, with a hip, 1920’s homage to the butcher shop, targeted at the downtown tech-savvy work, lunch and nighttime dining crowds. Located at the Metreon’s entry—adjacent to City Target and facing Moscone West—the design employs black-and-white mosaic tile floors, Carrera marble-topped podiums, walnut veneer walls, custom luminaires and carefully placed, custom high-top seating to set the mood. In response to Split Bread’s progressive business strategy for customer experience, a cashless QR code ordering system was integrated into the table surfaces.
