Ben Wilson
Job Captain
Ben brings a practical, construction-informed perspective to WDA’s hospitality practice, with a focus on quick-service restaurant and food and beverage projects. As a Job Captain, he helps coordinate design, documentation and project delivery, working closely with clients, consultants and internal teams to keep complex, fast-paced projects moving forward.
Growing up around his father’s plumbing, heating and electrical business gave Ben an early understanding of construction and a lasting respect for the trades. He brings that practical knowledge to each project, looking closely at how systems, materials and details come together. He is especially drawn to solutions that respond to the particular conditions of a site while strengthening the space’s identity and experience. Ben holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University and studied abroad in Italy and Rwanda. His experience includes prototype and multi-location hospitality work, where consistency must be balanced with the character and constraints of each project.
Outside the office, Ben can often be found cycling, visiting local art museums or renovating the century-old home he shares with his wife.
