Corey has always valued creativity and design. Born and raised in the rural Ohio countryside, Corey’s exposure to the beauty of nature began at a young age. With an appreciation for sustainable practices, he sought to deepen his knowledge of how humanity can lessen its impact on the natural environment.

Corey received a master’s degree in architecture from the University of South Florida, where his deep interest in the musical realm bled into his design thinking. By blending the artistry of the sonic environment with the opportunities of spatial context, his master’s thesis alluded to exploration and storytelling within the surrounding university campus. The tactile and acoustical interaction of the percussive discipline within the built environment was studied, fabricated, and celebrated. Corey has studied abroad in Italy, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland.

Corey can often be found either listening to music or playing music. His love of music and design serves as his expressive outlet for creativity. Corey also enjoys traveling, biking, cooking, and the outdoors.

Why did you go into architecture?
My goal is to help leave this world in a better condition than when I entered it.
What other profession intrigues you?
Music. I was raised in a very musical household; both of my parents play. I enjoy playing and listening to music as well – it is as exciting as it is therapeutic.
