Eunice brings an interest in creating meaningful architecture strongly tied to its site. As a Bay Area native, this stems from her love of Bay Area history and culture and a deep appreciation for our region’s beauty. Her design interests are supported by her careful attention to detail and her talents as a natural born problem solver.
Eunice received a Bachelor’s in Architecture from UC Berkeley and a Master’s in Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At MIT, she explored the connections between architecture, history and culture with summer studies at the L’Ecole des Beaux Arts program at Fontainebleau, and coursework in Italy, Egypt and Costa Rica. Eunice has worked on a variety of residential projects in the area, from San Francisco and Carmel, to Napa and Sonoma. Prior to joining WDA, she worked at BAR Architects and BGK Architects honing her skills on large estate and winery projects. She is a licensed architect in California and a LEED-accredited professional.
Out of the office, Eunice enjoys hiking, skiing, photography and travel. She can be found exploring the area’s amazing restaurant scene and the Bay Area’s many trails with her husband, son and their adorable dog.
- What tool of the design trade best represents you?
- A camera. I love observing all the details and capturing the light, shadows, color and texture that go into creating a spatial experience.
- What is one of your favorite works of design?
- The Sainte-Chapelle royal chapel in Paris. It’s a jewel-like space with amazing craftsmanship. Being inside creates a sense of peace and awe.
