As Associate Principal, Jonathan works closely with William Duff to manage the hospitality practice. Jonathan’s experience ranges from concept and original one-off designs to well-established brands, where strict standards must be followed. Jonathan adds value to every phase of his projects through dedicated client service and by facilitating a close collaboration process.
Jonathan completed his Bachelor’s in Architecture with a Minor in Sustainable Environments from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Outside the office, he enjoys golf, foosball and maintaining his humidor.
- Who is an architect or designer, living or dead, that you admire?
- Philip Johnson. I remember doing a report on him back in high school and it strengthened my interest in architecture.
- What is a professional accomplishment you’re proud of?
- Going from a designer to associate principal and shareholder at WDA. I really had no ambition to climb the ranks, but each new position provided a new challenge, which in turn provides opportunity for success and failure, both of which bring the opportunity to learn. Learning provides that feeling of accomplishment.
