Principal - Hospitality

Patrick Kruger leads WDA’s hospitality studio, bringing deep experience in boutique hotels, restaurants, lounges, wineries and branded guest environments. His work is shaped by a belief that successful hospitality design begins with understanding people: how they arrive, gather, move, linger and remember a place.

Before joining WDA, Patrick founded and led a high-end residential practice, building on a career that includes hospitality projects across the United States and abroad. His experience with renowned firms including Michael Graves and WATG informs a design approach that balances concept, craft and operational clarity.

At WDA, Patrick helps clients translate brand identity and guest experience into environments that feel tailored, memorable and highly resolved. His work reflects the firm’s belief that hospitality design benefits from a residential sensibility: attention to detail, material richness, human scale and a clear understanding of how people experience space.

Patrick received his Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design from San Diego State University and completed the Commercial Real Estate Program at the University of Washington. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the Advisory Board of ALIS DESIGN+.

Patrick’s design perspective is influenced by Richard Neutra’s human-centered approach to architecture: meeting real needs with clarity, restraint and purpose, regardless of scale.
