Mixt Yerba Buena

The former temporary SF MOMA gift shop provided a natural home for the next location of San Francisco’s own artisanal, healthy restaurant brand Mixt.

We designed the retail concept and flagship store for this healthy fast-casual restaurant chain. Our design at Yerba Buena responds to the surrounding neighborhood—a central downtown museum hub—with artistic details including modern patterned wallpaper on the ceiling, Heath Ceramic tile accents, and a custom pocket door to conceal grab-and-go offerings for a more upscale feel during dinner hours. Adept engineering of mechanical systems into concealed spaces allows for full functionality and maximum aesthetic appeal in this cozy space, while wood finishes on counters and lights reestablish this popular yet evolving brand in its newest location.
