Connecting the Showcase House

As part of the 2026 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, William Duff Architects collaborated with Perez Construction to create a new stair connecting the first, second, and third floors of the home.

 

Decorators Showcase Stairs

 

What was once a disconnected series of levels is now a more cohesive and intuitive experience—improving circulation while respecting the character of the historic Victorian. The stair became more than a functional connection. Surrounded by the creativity and artistry of this year’s Showcase designers, it became part of a larger story about how thoughtful design can transform the way we experience a home.
