Garden-inspired luxury boutique hotel.
Located in the heart of Charleston’s historic French Quarter, The Loutrel is a 50-room boutique hotel that draws inspiration from the city’s iconic public and private gardens—translating that legacy into a refined, contemporary guest experience. The design embraces a light-filled, “porch-inspired” sensibility, where layered materials, soft transitions, and curated detailing create an atmosphere that is both elevated and welcoming. Public spaces, including the Veranda Lounge and rooftop terrace, extend the hotel’s connection to place, offering relaxed, garden-like environments with sweeping views and a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. Behind the scenes, back-of-house spaces are carefully integrated to support efficient operations while maintaining the project’s cohesive design language. The result is a thoughtfully crafted hospitality experience that balances Southern charm with modern sophistication.
