William Duff Architects is pleased to share that House of Light and Shadow is featured in Pastel Interiors, a new curated architecture and shelter publication by Loft Publications.

The book brings together residential interiors shaped by soft hues, gentle light and serene spatial experiences. WDA’s featured project reimagines a San Francisco Victorian whose original period details had largely been stripped away, transforming the home’s interior into a calm, sculpted sequence of spaces shaped by light, restraint and everyday family life.

Inside, the expanded top floor enhances natural light and spatial flow, while refined detailing and a restrained material palette create interiors that feel calm, cohesive and quietly precise. Throughout the home, soft illumination, carefully framed views and subtle material transitions bring a sense of ease to daily routines.

As the publication notes, “Where light becomes the primary material, this reimagined Victorian unfolds as a calm, sculpted interior that frames both the city and everyday life.”
